I was one of the many attendees of the GAWAD KALINGA symposium held in Markham, Ontario when former Philippine President Ramos came to Canada to endorse the project.

Philippine Ambassador to Canada, Jose Brillantes, and other government officials, joined President Ramos to laud the GAWAD KALINGA movement, focused on helping the reduction of poverty in the Philippines

An avid horticulturist, I grow fruit bearing lemon, lime, kalamansi and pineapple plants in my built-in garage, which I have converted into a solarium. My home grown water spinach (kang kong or ong choy) is the neighbourhood's delight.

During the summer months in my Brooklin, Ontario residence, my visitors feel as though they are in Hawaii, with banana plantations in the background.

As a nature lover, I love relaxing with the rustling leaves in my backyard.
